By the 50th anniversary of the sister cities relations between Kyiv and Kyoto, 800 stamps will be issued

This year marks 50 years of sister cities relations between Kyiv and Kyoto. Stamps will be issued in honor of this date.

This was announced on Facebook by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky, UA informs.

“In honor of this date, at the initiative of the embassy, the joint efforts of the two cities, the Japanese Post and the authors of the photos will be issued a block of stamps, only 800 pieces” – he wrote.

The stamps will be available for purchase from Monday on the Japan Post website.

In addition, it is planned to plant 3 chestnuts and install a memorial plaque in one of the central parks of Kyoto in November.
