The next meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense (Ramstein format) will take place on April 11, and will be chaired by the United Kingdom.

This was stated by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer following the summit of the “Coalition of the Resolute” in Paris on March 27

Starmer announced at a press conference that British Defense Secretary John Healey “will chair the next meeting of the Ramstein Group on April 11.”

According to him, the purpose of the meeting is to send more military aid to Ukraine “and to support Ukraine in its struggle.”

“Because peace comes through strength. This was one of the main messages that was reinforced and emphasized at the meeting today,” the British prime minister added.

Earlier it became known that the next Ramstein will be held in Brussels.

It should be noted that this will be the second meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s defense that will be chaired by the UK, not the US.

During the last “Ramstein” in February, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hagel announced that the return of Ukraine’s borders to those that existed before 2014 was not a realistic goal and stated that the United States did not consider Ukraine’s membership in NATO a realistic outcome of a peaceful settlement of the war.
