First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Vladyslav Vlasiuk held a briefing for representatives of the diplomatic corps of the countries of the Global South on Ukraine’s sanctions priorities.

The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine briefed the representatives of the diplomatic corps on the concrete steps Ukraine is taking to implement its sanctions policy against the aggressor country. Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized the importance of active bilateral relations with the countries of the Global South.

“Ukraine has imposed sanctions on Russians responsible for aggression, war crimes and propaganda. Approximately 6,000 people have already been submitted to sanctions. This is a way to restore justice and a real resource for rebuilding the Ukrainian infrastructure destroyed by the Russians. The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine emphasized that Ukraine is actively cooperating with partners in the sanctions coalition, which includes 40 countries.

Yulia Svyrydenko noted that Ukraine is making significant efforts to ensure the Black Sea Grain Initiative is in place, so sanctions against Russia do not threaten global food security. Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Vladyslav Vlasiuk emphasized the importance of depriving Russia of tools that help it circumvent sanctions, including through third countries.
