Special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine have captured 102 soldiers in one go in the Kursk region.

This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing its sources in the SSU.

“Servicemen from the SSU’s Special Operations Centre A captured and cleared a complex, fortified, and well-defended company stronghold with underground communications, living quarters for personnel, a dining hall, an armoury, and even a bathhouse,” the media elaborated on the details.

These Russian soldiers, now POWs, are from the 488th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces and the Akhmat unit.

Ukraine’s Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has informed the UN and the ICRC that the rights of Russian prisoners of war are protected as the Geneva Convention requires it.
