Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba told about Joe Biden’s promise. The US President promised that he would not leave Ukraine alone against Russia.

This was told by Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with The Independent, UA writes.

“We, diplomats, are taught to read through many layers of each line. I think that the US President is open for cooperation with us and understands that the previous administration dragged us into US domestic politics. He said that he would not leave Ukraine alone face to face with Russia, and this is a very important commitment” – the minister said.

Kuleba argues that opposition to Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration arose not out of concerns on reforms or Ukraine’s “ultra-right problem” – which, according to Kuleba, is “exaggerated and inflated” – but primarily out of fear of Moscow’s response.

This meant that membership would be realistic only if Russia became “much weaker” than it is now, or “did something so outrageous” that the West would be forced to make a gesture to Ukraine.
