Baerbock promised Ukraine support for the winter: “So that the country can survive.”

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that Ukraine needs support as Kyiv enters its third winter of war.

She made this remark during her visit to Kyiv, as reported by Reuters.

Baerbock arrived in Kyiv on November 4, marking her eighth visit to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“We counter this brutality with our humanity and support so that Ukrainians can not only survive the winter but also so that their country can endure. Because they are also defending the freedom of all of us in Europe,” she emphasized.

According to the agency, Baerbock, who last visited Ukraine in May,met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and her Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha.

Recently, Ukraine and Germany signed an agreement to enhance Ukraine’s air defense system.

Additionally, the German Foreign Ministry has indicated the possibility of implementing new sanctions against North Korea should North Korean troops participate in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
