Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, after the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on February 28, expressed support for the leader of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
The government chief made the statement via X, Ukrinform reports.
“President Zelenskyy has shown bravery and leadership emblematic of his people in the face of Russia’s brutal and illegal invasion,” Albanese wrote.
“Australia stands with the Ukrainian people in their time of need,” the head of the Australian government emphasized.
He illustrated his post with his joint photos with President Zelenskyy.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed confidence that his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump can be saved after a spat that broke out during negotiations at the White House. According to him, this is more than a relationship between the two presidents, as there are strong ties and relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States.
