The new state-owned airline, Ukrainian National Airlines, will order five passenger planes from Antonov State Aircraft Manufacturing Enterprise. The corresponding memorandum between the Ministry of Infrastructure and the State Corporation ‘Ukroboronprom’ was signed on December 14.

According to director general of the ‘Ukroboronprom’ Yuriy Husiev, within the memorandum in the next 3 years Antonov is going to build five An-158 passenger aircraft with 99 seats each.
He added that the state-owned enterprise plans to complete the first aircraft in a year.
Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that domestically produced passenger aircraft will be used on regional flights within Ukraine and international short-haul flights.
