The FIDE international chess organization has published a ranking, which includes15 Ukrainian athletes.
This is stated on the website of the Chess Federation of Ukraine.
Seven Ukrainian women have entered the list of the top 100 chess players in the world:
Anna Muzychuk (2571),
Maria Muzychuk (2540),
Natalya Zhukova (2438),
Anna Ushenina (2423),
Inna Haponenko (2410),
Yulia Osmak (2375),
Tetiana Vasilevich (2360).
Eight Ukrainian men have entered the world’s top hundred:
Vasyl Ivanchuk (2731),
Pavlo Yelianov (2710),
Yuri Kuzubov (2695),
Ruslan Ponomariov (2694),
Yuriy Krivoruchko (2694),
Martyn Kravtsiv (2682),
Anton Korobov (2664),
Oleksandr Moiseyenko (2660).
Two Ukrainian grandmasters have a rating of 2700 and above.
Ukrainians Pavlo Vorontsov, Kyrylo Shevchenko, Volodymyr Vetoshko, Yevhen Shtembulyak are among the top 100 chess players in the junior category.
Ukrainians Yulia Osmak, Olena Martinkova, Sofia Krasnokutska, Maria Berdnyk are in the list of female players under the age of 21.
It should also be noted that Marta Kostyuk from Ukraine will play in the final of the international tennis tournament.
