Yuriy Tandit, the adviser to the head of the SBU (Ukraine’s security service) resigned.

“I’ve already signed the resignation papers,” Tandit said.

Tandit was appointed an advisor to SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak in July 2015.

Before the war started in eastern Ukraine, and before becoming a hostage release negotiator, Tandit specialized in conflict resolution.

But Tandit said that he will continue to deal with the release of Ukrainian hostages and continue working on a TV program, “Good and Evil,” that he’s involved in.

Tandit did not comment on other future plans.

“You will learn about my plans soon. I do not want to announce them yet,” he said.
