A Ukrainian sailor died in Denmark, – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Ukrainian, who was a member of the crew of the SOLYMAR ship, died in Denmark in the port of Vejle.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, informs Ukrinform.

The tragedy took place on March 16.

“According to preliminary information, a citizen of Ukraine – a member of the crew of the SOLYMAR vessel – died on March 16, 2021 as a result of an accident during the unloading of the vessel in the port of Vejle. Investigative actions are now continuing. Repatriation of the body of the deceased will be carried out at the expense of the insurance company,” the department said.

Earlier it was reported that the cargo ship Volgo Balt-179 crashed off the coast of Romania, there were 13 crew members on board, all – Ukrainians. 2 – a captain and an electrician – died.
