A huge asteroid will enter Earth’s orbit – NASA (MAP)

A huge asteroid will enter Earth’s orbit this weekend. It is being tracked by specialists from the American space agency NASA, UA informs with reference to the Daily Star.

Asteroid 2019 YM6, which is approaching Earth, is moving at a speed of 48.5 thousand km/h. It will be as close as possible on Saturday, July 31, but will pass by the Earth at a safe distance of 6,870,000 km. Scientists have estimated its diameter – 100-230 m.

For comparison: the Moon is 384.400 km away from the Earth.
