Donald Trump took the oath as the 47th President of the United States.
JD Vance also took the oath and became the Vice President of the United States.
“From this day forward, our country will thrive, and it will be respected all over the world. All nations and countries will envy us. We will not let anyone take advantage of us. Every day, the administration and I personally will always put America first,” — Trump’s first words during his inaugural speech.
“Today, I will sign a series of historic presidential orders. We will begin restoring America and common sense,” — Trump.
A state of emergency will be declared at the southern border.

Zelenskyy congratulated Donald Trump on his return to the office of President of the United States.
In his statement, Zelenskyy praised Trump’s determination and emphasized that his “peace through strength” policy “provides an opportunity to strengthen American leadership and achieve long-term and fair peace.”
