95 more Ukrainian defenders come back home from Russian captivity

Ukraine has conducted another POWs exchange with Russia, resulting in 95 defenders back home.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

“I am thrilled to inform you that 95 of our people have returned to Ukraine today. There are 3,405 heroes who were returned home since the full-scale invasion began,” he wrote on X.

Those who defended Azovstal in Mariupol are among the exchanged soldiers.

This is one more exchange that was coordinated by the United Arab Emirates, the President of Ukraine pointed out and reiterated Ukraine is determined to free all of its defenders.

“I am grateful to our team responsible for the exchanges and to the United Arab Emirates for mediating this release. No matter how difficult it is, we search for everyone who might be in captivity, and we must bring them all back,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on X.

On June 25, the previous exchange returned 90 Ukrainian defenders.
