Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal claims that Ukraine will pursue confiscating all the immobilized Russian assets.
This was reported on the government’s official website.
“This is only the first step. Our goal is to confiscate all the frozen assets of the russian federation,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine said as he met with the World Bank Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath on July 15.
He also expressed gratitude to all the partners that allow Ukraine to maintain stability during the war and expect a speedy recovery of its infrastructure afterwards.
“We appreciate the financial support of our partners, including the U.S., EU and IMF. We are going through this year with confidence. We are working to ensure that next year is just as predictable and stable,” stated Denys Shmyhal.
Additionally, the PM informed the World Bank about steps to build a decentralised energy system and work to increase electricity imports from the EU.
