On July 15, the last Russian patrol vessel has left occupied Crimea.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukrainу announced it on Facebook.

“The last patrol ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is leaving our Crimea right now. Remember this day,” he stressed.

Earlier, Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Neizhpapa claimed that Russia understood it had lost control over Crimea as a hub for its warships.

“They were established over many decades, possibly centuries. And clearly they are now losing this hub. Almost all the main combat-ready ships have been moved by the enemy from the main base of the Black Sea Fleet, and the ships are kept in Novorossiisk, and some of them are kept in the Sea of Azov,” Neizhpapa stated in an interview with Reuters.
