The Russian army has had some success in some areas of the front. But the occupiers have no strategic prospects, because achievements come at the cost of great losses. Speaker of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army “South” Serhii Bratchuk said this on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“Today, unfortunately, the Russian army has some success in some areas. In particular, we are talking about the Avdiivka operational zone. On the other hand, if we talk about strategic advancement, gaining advantage and initiative on the part of the Russian Federation, then let’s remember at what cost the ruins of Avdiivka were given to the enemy. What losses did he suffer there in terms of personnel and military equipment,” said Bratchuk.
He recalled that Russian troops tried to advance in the Avdiivka direction throughout the two years of the full-scale invasion. And they managed to capture the city for a long time, at the cost of huge losses. It can hardly be called a success.
“This is a definite success for the Russian army in terms of territorial advancement. But there are no strategic successes or prospects in this,” the guest of the broadcast emphasized.
Bratchuk noted that the enemy continues to conduct intensive operations, striking virtually along the entire front line.
“If we talk about the Zaporizhzhia direction, then active attacks are taking place in the Rabotino area. The enemy has indeed accumulated considerable forces, to put it mildly. They have both weapons and military equipment. The Russians are trying to find gaps in our defense in order to deliver the blow that, in their opinion, will lead not only to operational, but also strategic advancement,” the speaker said.
Today the situation at the front is really difficult. But the Ukrainian military is destroying enemy assets and their personnel, Bratchuk emphasized.
He also emphasized that partners should provide Kyiv with weapons as much as possible, in particular shells and artillery, so that the Defense Forces continue to crush enemy forces in all directions of the front.
