This morning, on February 7, Russia attacked Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, continuing to destroy civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

As of now, Kyiv authorities have reported 4 dead and 35 injured. In general, 6 regions of Ukraine were attacked.

“My condolences to all who have lost loved ones. We will definitely retaliate against Russia; terrorists will always face the consequences of their actions. I am grateful to all of our medics, rescuers, and utility workers. I thank everyone who cares about our country and saves and assists people,” Zelenskyy reacted to the attack.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia launched 64 missiles and drones, 44 of which were eliminated (29 missiles and 15 drones).

Ukrainian authories claim the attack didn’t inflict major damage on the power system of Ukraine.

“Rescuers are extinguishing the fire at the site of falling debris. Damage was caused to residential and energy infrastructure. Power engineers are already working to restore power supply. At the same time, the power grid remains stable and no power outages are planned,” Ukraine’s PM Shmyhal said, providing updates on the consequences of the attack.

In Kyiv, some communications, including high-voltage cables, were damaged.

Josep Borrell, who is on a visit to Kyiv, had to spend a morning in the shelter as Russia attacked the capital with missiles.

“Starting my morning in the shelter as air alarms are sounding across Kyiv. This is the daily reality of the brave Ukrainian people, since Russia launched its illegal aggression,” wrote Borrell on X.
