For the destruction of Ukrainian food in such huge quantities, as the Russian army does, the top leadership of the aggressor country will have to answer. The head of the Kremlin, Putin, is pursuing a policy of fascism and will be responsible for it. But the bombing should not stop the flow of food from Ukraine to countries in need. This opinion was expressed by the diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2010-2017) Oleksandr Levchenko on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“The bombing of transport infrastructure, the burning of several tens of thousands of tons of grain is fascism, it’s not even a war crime, but Russian fascism, which has the guise of Putinism. For this war crime, the highest leaders – military, political, and so on – will have to answer. I was ambassador to the Balkans and witnessed several bloody wars. But for someone to deliberately destroy food on a massive scale, the transport infrastructure that helps carry food to countries that need food, is unprecedented. For this crime, serious retaliatory actions must be taken, ”Levchenko emphasized.
The diplomat believes that it is already now necessary to resolve the issue of Russian bombing not stopping the flow of food from Ukraine to countries that need it.
He recalled that the Ukrainian government, the United Nations and Turkey, with which Kyiv signed a grain agreement, are working on this.
According to the diplomat, new routes are being created to transport food.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia was in Kyiv on a visit. The next step is that Ukraine will transport grain along the Danube by river, then it will be reloaded into freight cars and the grain will continue to follow its route by rail. It just increases the time [of delivery], the cost of this grain,” the guest explained.
And the fact that the Russian occupiers in Izmail damaged about 40 thousand tons of grain, which was expected by African countries, China and Israel, will lead to an even greater increase in prices, Levchenko believes.
“Prices on the stock exchanges have risen sharply – this is the reaction to the actions of Russian fascism, which needs to be talked about more and more often. And carefully analyze what the Kremlin is doing in order to definitely hold all its leaders accountable, ”the guest of the broadcast emphasized.
He also emphasized that Moscow must understand that there is a limit to how they behave. And the reaction of the world is already being prepared.
“Putin, as the leader of the fascist brethren, said at the summit in St. Petersburg that, they say, we will eliminate Ukraine, we will replace it. We have already stolen a huge amount of Ukrainian grain, which we are transferring to you for free, to six countries that are Russian satellites in Africa, where everything is controlled by Wagner PMC. Therefore, these actions, in order to destroy the entire infrastructure of Ukraine and then allegedly Russia will appear here, is a misunderstanding of obvious things. And, if the Russians think that the price will increase due to the destruction of Ukrainian food, they will take advantage of this, this is a very primitive thinking. This is not accepted in the world. The reaction is slowly getting ready. Moscow must understand that there are limits to how it behaves. I emphasize once again: in the practice of the history of wars, the deliberate destruction of products in general is considered a huge crime and, of course, a great sin, ”summed up Levchenko.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with the Brazilian broadcaster Globo, said that the blocking of the Black Sea Grain Agreement for Russian President Vladimir Putin is a mechanism for pressure and making money.
