Both the strikes on the Kremlin and the massive air attacks on Ukraine are part of Putin’s special operation against the backdrop of defeats on the battlefield. General of the Army of Ukraine, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010) Mykola Malomuzh stated this live on the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to him, realizing that the Russian army cannot perform tasks in Bakhmut, near Avdiivka, Vuhledar, Liman, and so on, Putin is trying to destabilize the Ukrainian population.
“Putin is trying to create a very powerful block of destabilization. On the one hand, he accused Ukraine before May 9 of carrying out anti-Russian attacks. There was a blow to the Kremlin. In the future, this is also possible in other territories, sabotage operations by Russians dressed in the uniform of the Ukrainian military are possible … A strike or explosions may be provoked on the territory of some cities where there will be parades. Now they have been canceled, but they are held in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This is a very dangerous situation… This is a pure special operation aimed at terrorist actions, blaming Ukraine for these actions, and then massive shelling of the civilian population, in front-line cities, ”comments the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
According to him, this operation has a complex meaning: not only to preempt the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also to create conditions for discrediting Ukraine and a “retaliation operation” in order to mobilize the resources of the Russian Federation.
“More far-reaching goals are to force us into a negotiation process. This work is being carried out through all channels: with China, Turkey, and a number of European countries. They are even trying to create a lobby in this format in the United States in order to seat us at the negotiating table so that operations to liberate the territory are limited by Ukraine. And after that, respectively, through Western mechanisms, through China, raise the question that we agree to the conditions of Russia, ”explains Malomuzh.
The general stressed that this option is unacceptable for Ukraine, but Russia will not stop trying to impose it.
“If not by washing, then by rolling, they will shoot, they will kill people, they will force them into chaos, some kind of protests. And this compulsion, as they say, to the world. It won’t happen, it won’t work out,” Mykola Malomuzh is sure.
Recall that the Russians attacked the territory of Ukraine in two waves on the night of May 9. The strikes were delivered by sea and air-based cruise missiles.
The Russian invaders also attacked Ukraine the day before: on the night of May 8, they targeted Shahed-136/131 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Kyiv and the region, and missiles from Tu-22m3 long-range bombers in the Odesa region.
Earlier it was reported that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned: Putin could arrange provocations in Russia during parades.
