After the liberation of Kherson, a split in the pro-war public of the Russian Federation began, – expert on the fascism in Russian society

After the liberation of Kherson by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the “patriotic”, pro-war public of the Russian Federation is splitting. Such an opinion today, November 28, was expressed by the former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ilya Ponomarev, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

“After Kherson, I see just qualitative changes on the side of evil. That is, the “patriotic” public is splitting,” he said.

The oppositionist drew attention to the statement of the Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, who fought in the Donbass on the side of the so-called “DPR” in 2014-2016, that “now, obviously, this war is lost.”

“People of the “patriotic” type are not patriots of any kind, pro-war. It means that even they understand that political situation is really bad. And it was no coincidence that there was a statement by the unfinished Dugin that, therefore, it is necessary to sacrifice the leader, because he does not cope with his duties as a victorious Fuhrer. This is the mood that is already there, ”Ponomarev noted, adding that there is an even greater fascism in Russian society.

He is convinced that the coming to power of the conditional Prigozhin will most likely lead to the oprichnina and the collapse of the Russian Federation.

However, according to Ponomarev, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of PMC Wagner, does not intend to enter into a full-fledged political game in Russia.

“So far, I have a better feeling that Prigozhin is ready to play precisely as a military force, as a military mercenary for someone who can become president. That is, I really believe in the coalition “Kirienko, Prigozhin, Kadyrov, Zolotov”, which could claim to seize power in Russia, but at the same time, not Prigozhin would be the frontman, but this same Kiriyenko would be the frontman. Can Prigogine go directly? Very theoretical, maybe. I think that this is not the main plan for him,” the Russian opposition leader believes.

Earlier, the Russian army occupied Kherson on March 2. The city was occupied for 8 months. During the counteroffensive in the southern direction, on November 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Kherson, pushing Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnipro river.
