Gradually, the entire right-bank part of the Kherson region comes under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are greeted with joyful exclamations by local residents. They spent 8 long months under Russian occupation. On November 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in some areas up to the Dnieper, stepping on the heels of the fleeing Russian military, who, escaping, blew up the bridges behind them, informs FREEDOM.
Contrary to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense about a well-coordinated retreat, the network has footage of the defeated retreating Russian equipment, information appears about the next trophies.
“Now we can see a large amount of captured equipment, which is being collected along the right bank of the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And, obviously, from this we can conclude that the Russians fled in the first place either on foot, or they tried to bring out wheeled vehicles, ”says military expert Alexander Kovalenko.
He notes that despite the fact that the retreat began in advance – first the equipment was taken out, then heavy equipment – the collapse of the communication system led to a violation of the retreat order. The retreat turned into a flight.
“Defensive fortifications are being dug in Crimea. And in one unit, I won’t name which one, the last order was: change into civilian clothes and run away as you like,” one of the Russian occupiers admitted.
According to Kovalenko, there are still units that were, to put it mildly, lost as a result. After all, the control system did not fully work for the last few days at the Russian occupation command.
“Therefore, some units did not even receive such an order to leave their positions and are now in a state, well, let’s say, hiding along the right bank. Part of the personnel is in Kherson, dressed in civilian clothes,” Kovalenko said.
Before leaving, the Russian military blew up boiler rooms, communication towers and a television center. The Internet, electricity and water supply in Kherson were also left in a deplorable state.
As soon as the Ukrainian authorities appear in the city, restoration will begin immediately. And with Ukraine, order, tranquility and protection will come… What people have been waiting for for 8 months in the Russian occupation.
