Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, the state budget expenses have amounted to almost UAH 1 trillion. Of these, more than UAH 420 billion were directed on the defense and security of our country, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“More than 40% of the resources we spent from the state budget were for the needs of the army: UAH 288 billion for salaries to the military, UAH 135 billion for the purchase and repair of military equipment, the purchase of ammunition and defense products,” the Head of the Government noted.
The Prime Minister emphasized that during the 180 days of full-scale war, Ukraine had demonstrated stability at the institutional level, preserved the controllability over the state and all branches of government.
“We have determined five strategic tasks for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine during this period. They will further guide our work – until the final victory.
The first and most critical issue is the financing of the army and defense of our country. The second is the payment of all social obligations and social protection of those who need it,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
Also, the Head of the Government named among the strategic objectives macroeconomic stability and reconstruction of the economy to comply with conditions of the wartime, vigorous advancement in the direction of European integration, preparation of a comprehensive Ukraine Recovery Plan and implementation of rapid reconstruction programs.
