The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov believes that after Russia’s aggression in relations between the countries, it will not be the same as before. Therefore, all citizens must be ready to defend Ukraine.
This was reported by UA with reference to his interview with ArmyInform.
According to him, even if the war ends tomorrow and Russia leaves the occupied Crimea and some parts of Donbass, it will take decades to achieve non-conflict coexistence.
“Russia’s attack has changed a lot. But both in society and in the army itself, there is still a lot of inertia. The most difficult task is to rebuild consciousness. Our aggressive neighbor will not go anywhere, “the minister said. Reznikov believes that, as before, will not be. All citizens must be ready to defend the country.
“So that the Kremlin does not even have thoughts of relapses. We need to raise children to understand that this can affect them. This means a completely different format of relations between citizens and government. This is the basis for a new public contract, “he added.
It will be recalled that on December 7, the presidents of the United States and the Russian Federation, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, held talks in which the American head of state threatened decisive economic and other measures in the event of an invasion of Ukraine.
