Ruslan Khomchak leaves the post of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ruslan Khomchak was dismissed from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This decision was made by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Serhii Nikiforov on July 27, UA informs.

“This is the decision of the President of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not doubt the patriotism and loyalty to the oath, the professionalism of Ruslan Khomchak, but he wants to see synergy between the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, we do not see such synergy, but we see a conflict” – Nikiforov said during the press briefing.

Khomchak will take the post of First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). Accordingly, Mykhailo Koval will leave it.
