The Ukrainian veterans basketball team, in the age category of 70 years and above, has become the champion of Europe.
Competitions were held in Altea, Spain, the Ukrainian Basketball Federation wrote.
The Ukrainian team won all four of its matches. The veterans beat the Lithuanian team “Vilnius Statibos Senior” twice (50:35 and 46:43), and also beat the Moscow team “Volnik” twice (41:36 and 38:31).
The team captain is Volodymyr Karpukhin.
Volodymyr Martynov was the highest scoring player with 9.3 points per match.
