Golden Firebird Music Awards Held in Kyiv

The Golden Firebird is the main award of this ceremony. 55 artists competed in different categories for 11 of these awards,” UATV correspondent Tamara Kononenko said.

All nominees and guests passed through hall along a red carpet. For artists, this is a great opportunity to showcase their new images and carefully selected outfits.

“This is the first time I’ve gone out dressed like this. As you can see, spring has come, and my nails and hair have grown. By the way, I also have the premiere of a new song,” singer Kira Mazur said.

“At home, I used to wear sports clothes, and on the red carpet – I put on dresses by Ukrainian designer Iryna Marchuk. This dress was sewn over the course of a month and took 17 meters of fabric to make,” singer Natalia Valevska said.

The ceremony took place in the form of a gala concert. Ukrainian singer and Eurovision champion Jamala opened the show.

The first “Breakthrough of the Year” award was given to the band Dilemma. The group, founded back in 2002, entertained the public with new hits.

However, 2/3 of the nominees are new bands and young artists.

“The most important thing is that my son Phil Kolyadenko, is also among the nominees. He is a member of the Kadnai band and they are nominated in three categories. Today, I support my son. This is a modern Ukrainian band. I am just a fan of them,” TV presenter, showman, Dmytro Koliadenko said.

Winners in different categories were chosen by a professional jury. This year, Ukrainians gave preference to the soundtrack for the Ukrainian film “Crazy Wedding” performed by Potap and Oleh Vynnyk.
