Uliana Veresiuk is a 4th-year student at a medical college, where she is studying to be a future dentist. She came to Lviv for the exhibition.
“It doesn’t hurt at all. The feeling is nice, there’s no pressure, no issues during the procedure, you don’t have to wait for the result for a long time. It’s great because you can see everything the doctor is doing,” Veresiuk said.
With the help of digital microscopy, the scanner captures the measurements of the oral cavity – the shape, size, and placement of teeth.
“It fully replaces the dental mold and allows for creating an instant digital image on a monitor. We start the work by creating a patient’s card on the scanner and selecting the type of work, like crowns or veneers. And select scanning,” the dentist Volodymyr Adveyev said.
The scanned image can be sent to a patient or another doctor via a mobile app. The device itself was made in Denmark and Poland, but the programming and design were created by Ukrainian specialists.
“Its accuracy is very high, the maximum error can be up to 7 microns. With the help of this scanner, you can scan the teeth on both jaws, do a CT scan of the jaws and combine a 3D image of the oral cavity with the 3D image of the bones,” Avdeyev said.
The Ukrainian tech allows for the determination of the exact position of dental implants without incisions.
