On Thursday, Ukrainian basketball players Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk and Isfu Sanon were selected to play for the American basketball teams, the Washington Wizards and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Initially, four Ukrainians applied for the NBA – including Bohdan Bliznyuk and Oleksandr Kobets, but only Mikhailyuk and Sanon were chosen.
The two young Ukrainians will be on the court with some of the most talented basketball stars in the world.
Sanon, playing under the number 44, from now will be defending the Washington Wizards’
And Mikhailuk, under the number 47, from now will be playing for Los Angeles Lakers. He became the first Ukrainian player on their team.
“The draft lottery is complete, the draft order is set, and that means one thing: people are getting serious about their mock drafts. Of course, projections for the 2018 NBA Draft to be held on Thursday, June 21 at Barclays Center have been heating up since the days after the college basketball season concluded,” the NBA reported.
