The first international forum for Eastern and Central Europe, Via Carpatia, will take place in Ukraine in the Carpathians.
The forum will start on June 23 and end on June 30 in the village of Kryvorivnya in Ivano-Frankivsk region,Espreso.TV reported.
Guests will enjoy a rich cultural, intellectual and entertaining program: a free festival week in the Carpathian mountains, which will include a Hutsul folk festival. Hutsuls are an ethno-cultural group of Ukrainians that have inhabited the Carpathian mountains for centuries, mainly in the areas of Bukovina and Maramures, and the northern part of Romania. Hutsuls regard themselves as Ukrainian highlanders. Art, food and national clothes of the Hutsuls will be available for sale.
Various Ukrainian producers will sell their locally-made products.
Ukrainian singers and bands like Marichka Burmaka, Oleh Skrypka, Alina Pash, Khrystyna Soloviy and Kozak System are set to perform. Guests can also see various dance performances in the open air and enjoy some dancing themselves. Various Ukrainian DJs will set the mood.
The forum will also screen movies like Legend of the Carpathians, EKS, Traitor, Easy and When the Trees Fall. Foreign movies, including winners of Cannes and Berlin film festivals, will be also presented.
Guests of the forum will be able to visit museums and nature reserves through various excursions that will take place on June 25.
