Ukraine’s former prime minister Yevhen Marchuk died aged 80

Ukrainian statesman, the 4th Prime Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Marchuk died.

This was announced on August 5 by his wife Larisa Ivshyna, UA reports.

“Black day … Yevhen died … his heart stopped” – she wrote on Facebook.

Other details are still unknown.

Yevhen Marchuk was 80 years old. He was the first to chair the Security Service of Ukraine. During the presidency of Kuchma, Marchuk was a vice prime minister.

From November 21, 2018 till May 19, 2019, he was authorized to represent Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.
