Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is the only way to guarantee real security on the European continent, UATV English reports.

To strengthen the common position of Ukraine and its partners, he outlined three key priorities:

  • Diplomatic offensive: International diplomatic efforts must become significantly more dynamic and proactive.
  • Air defense and integration: Urgent deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine and deeper defense cooperation with European partners are needed.
  • Advancing toward the EU without delays: All EU accession negotiation clusters should be opened, as Ukraine is technically fully prepared for this stage of the process.

We will remain in contact with the United States and are preparing future meetings,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.

Russia is striking Ukraine from close range while using electronic warfare (EW) systems to track the flight paths of Ukrainian drones, Zelenskyy said.

This is one of the reasons why Ukrainian drones may occasionally end up on the territory of other countries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained when responding to a question about drone incidents in Finland and the Baltic States.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia is attempting to drive a wedge between Ukraine and its partners through such actions.

“We can share our expertise and experience with those who want to know how to defend themselves against the aggressor’s large-scale drone attacks,” the Ukrainian president said.

“Over the past month, I have sent a number of letters to various institutions — to the EU, to Congress, to the President of the United States, and also to Putin”, Zelenskyy said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this while answering a journalist’s question about the purpose of his open letter to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“Each of these letters had its own purpose. Ukraine is demonstrating that it is ready for peace, and we are taking various diplomatic steps to show our allies who is ready for peace and who is not. I have achieved the desired result,” Zelenskyy said.
