President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the United Kingdom, France, and Germany — the E3 diplomatic format — will help Ukraine enhance its anti-ballistic defense capabilities.
He made the statement in an interview with The Guardian, UATV English reports.
Zelenskyy expressed hope that Ukraine and the United Kingdom would be able to develop a European anti-ballistic defense system.
“We are working on it. We need it, and the United Kingdom needs it as well,” the president said.
He also emphasized that the E3 countries would assist Ukraine in strengthening its anti-ballistic defense.
Separately, Zelenskyy noted that during the E3 diplomatic-format meeting, all participants agreed on the need to increase sanctions pressure on Russia.
Earlier, Zelenskyy briefed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Ukraine’s needs in the war against Russia.
The same day, he informed the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany about the situation on the battlefield and Russian losses.
It was previously reported that France will host the next meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” in Paris on July 13–14.
