The French army has decided to allocate funding for the new Aarok attack drone instead of the European Eurodrone project. This was reported by Defense Express.
French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecorneuil said he was asking to redirect some of the funds from the Eurodrone project because its implementation was delayed. The freed-up funds will be used to accelerate the production of Aarok and introduce drones into the French army.
The Aarok project is being developed by the French company Turgis & Gaillard, and one of its versions is planned for production in Ukraine. It is believed that mass production of the UAV could start in a short time.
