6 Russian intelligence agents who transmitted data on the location of strategically important facilities will be tried in Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office, Ukrinform reports.
According to the report, prosecutors “sent to court indictments against six agents who informed the Russian special services about the location of critical infrastructure and the military-industrial complex in several regions. They are accused of committing high treason under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).”
According to the prosecutor’s office, the defendants were remotely recruited by administrators of pro-Russian social networks and were part of the Russian FSB’s agent network. They were tasked with providing intelligence to the Russian special services.
Their main task was to transmit data on the geographical location of electrical substations and defense industry enterprises. The defendants also collected information on the results of enemy missile strikes, the location of military units and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the location of air defense systems.
