In October 2024, Ukraine’s economic growth slowed to 1.3% compared to the same month last year.

This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine

For the first ten months of 2024, GDP growth is estimated at 4.2%.

Positive momentum persisted in the transport, manufacturing, and construction sectors last month. However, agriculture saw a decline due to an early harvest, with farmers completing the collection of some crops by October.

Overall, key drivers of growth in 2024 remain the transport and construction sectors, along with manufacturing.

Despite the October slowdown, the year-to-date growth of 4.2% suggests Ukraine’s economy is on a recovery path, supported by key sectors like transport, construction, and manufacturing. The government may need to address challenges in agriculture and prepare for external economic pressures to maintain this momentum in the coming months.
