Donald Trump, whom American media have already projected as the winner of the presidential election, has claimed victory in the fourth “swing” state, Wisconsin, securing the number of electoral votes needed for a win.

NBC News predicts Trump’s victory in Wisconsin with 49.7% of the vote after 99% of ballots counted, while Kamala Harris holds 48.7%.

Wisconsin proved to be the final state Trump needed to secure the presidency. With its 10 electoral votes, Trump now has 276, surpassing the 270 required for victory. Meanwhile, the New York Times reports that Trump has reached 277 electoral votes.

Both Harris and Trump heavily focused on Wisconsin, investing time, funds, and resources, holding large rallies in suburban and college areas and saturating voters with political ads.

In 2020, Joe Biden won Wisconsin, while Trump claimed it in 2016.

Notably, several election outcome models predicted Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential race. Trump has already declared his win and pledged to work daily for a “strong, safe, and prosperous America.”
