Voting has now concluded in 44 U.S. states for the presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives elections. Initial results are starting to come in from the polling stations in the U.S. presidential election.
This information comes “Voice of America.”

According to “Voice of America,” as of 6:30 AM on November 6, Harris had 187 electoral votes and Trump had 230.
Currently, “Voice of America” projects that Republican candidate Donald Trump is winning in Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, and Arkansas.
Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is projected to win in Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Illinois, and New Jersey.
The U.S. presidential election is not decided by direct popular vote but through the Electoral College. Each state is allocated a certain number of electoral votes based on its population, and most states (except for Maine and Nebraska) award all their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote in that state. A candidate needs at least 270 out of the total 538 electoral votes to win.
Earlier, “Voice of America” reported that Donald Trump had 101 electoral votes, while Kamala Harris had 71.
Several populous states with a large number of electoral votes, such as California (55) and Texas (38), are still voting.
Seven key states expected to play a decisive role in the election are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, where the race between the candidates has been most competitive.
It’s worth noting that different American media outlets assess U.S. election results differently. Each media outlet decides independently when to call a state for Trump or Harris, leading to discrepancies in vote counts between sources.
