U.S. intelligence officials have stated that Russia, Iran, and China continue to be responsible for most attempts to influence American voters.

This was reported by Voice of America, citing the latest report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

According to the document, there are no signs that any of these countries have changed their objectives.

At the same time, intelligence officials noted that Russia and Iran have different preferences regarding the winner of the U.S. presidential elections.

Russia, in particular, continues to run influence campaigns aimed at increasing the chances of former U.S. President Donald Trump, while also trying to undermine Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign.

Iran’s efforts, meanwhile, remain focused on supporting Harris by damaging Trump, as intelligence pointed out, recalling an operation involving hacking and leaking information against Trump’s campaign, linked to three operatives working for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to U.S. intelligence assessments, China has not yet interfered in the U.S. presidential campaign, instead focusing on convincing American voters to reject state and local candidates considered harmful to Beijing’s interests, especially those who express support for Taiwan.

Additionally, Russia and Cuba have joined China in targeting Congressional, state, and local elections.

In September, U.S. intelligence agencies reported that Russia was increasingly creating content using artificial intelligence to influence the U.S. presidential elections.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that his favorite in the U.S. elections was President Joe Biden, but since Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed Kamala Harris, Russia would also support her.

In response, the White House advised Moscow to stop interfering in U.S. presidential elections.
