Bild reports on Ukraine’s “Victory Plan” involving a ceasefire, Zelenskyy’s office denies

According to the publication, Zelenskyy is expected to travel to the U.S. in coming weeks to present his strategy to President Joe Biden, as well as presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

The report claims that the proposal includes a demand to allow strikes with Western long-range weapons deep into Russia, as well as Ukraine’s readiness to agree to a localized ceasefire on certain frontlines—effectively a temporary freeze of the situation.

In a comment to Ukrainian media, a presidential advisor assured that this is false and that the German publication could not have seen this document.

“Bild has spread a fake. Bild has not seen the Victory Plan, and none of the few people involved in preparing the Victory Plan have spoken with Bild. The Victory Plan will first be presented to the United States, as the United States is capable of ensuring its implementation,” said presidential advisor Dmytro Lytvyn.
