The state has provided Ukrainian athletes with everything they need to participate in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Most of the athletes of the Olympic team have already been vaccinated against COVID-19. This was announced on June 22 by the Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Huttsait during the Ukraine 30 Forum, UA correspondent reports.

“The state has provided all of our athletes. Funding has been increased, all the equipment for our teams has been purchased”, – Huttsait said.

Now the athletes train, take part in competitions, and are at training bases.

“They have received vaccines. To date, about 70% have been vaccinated“, – the minister said.

Coaches and specialists keep the vaccination under control – so that the athletes are healthy, and this is a sign of respect for Japan, the host country, – Huttsait noted.
