Ukraine is actively developing its military-industrial base, moving to a higher rate of production, including projectiles of various calibers and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Military analyst Oleksiy Getman spoke about this on the FREEDOM TV channel.

“Ukraine is a country experiencing the biggest war in Europe since World War II, and our defense military-industrial complex (MIC) urgently needed to be restored and moved to a faster pace of work. A lot has been done in 1.5 years; production has begun not only of Soviet caliber shells, but also of NATO 155 mm caliber,” he said.

He noted that Ukraine has also begun to mass produce effective UAVs that are difficult for Russian air defense systems to intercept.

“Ukraine can become a world leader, surpassing even the USA and China. It is UAVs that will definitely be in demand, because there is already information about how exercises are conducted in the US Army, and they take into account the experience of the war in Ukraine, the experience of our Armed Forces. Much attention is paid to the interaction of ground units with UAVs: reconnaissance and attack drones. This is a good start,” he emphasized.

Getman added that all countries in the world are purchasing weapons due to the lack of ability to produce all types of weapons.

“If we expand production and make it so that we can provide not only for ourselves, but also sell weapons on the world market, then, in principle, this will be both an investment and income to our treasury. If you want peace, prepare for war. Stoltenberg (Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) – ed.) said correctly that the path to peace is not disarmament, on the contrary, powerful armed forces. I hope this will be the case after the war,” Getman concluded.

Earlier, military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Alexander Kovalenko noted that Western countries will show increased interest in the military-industrial complex of Ukraine after the war. A number of companies are already ready to queue up to take their place in the investment flow.
