A plane arrived at Kyiv Airport (Zhulyany) and evacuated 14 Ukrainian citizens from Syria – three women and 11 children.

This was reported by UA with reference to the Office of the President.

They were in a closed-type Al-Hall camp in northeastern Syria. This is the largest group of Ukrainians who managed to return home during the entire evacuation operations from this country.

The humanitarian mission was jointly prepared by the President’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The negotiation process with the participation of Ukrainian diplomats lasted several months.

Currently, 19 more citizens remain in Syria, waiting to be evacuated from the Rod camp.

On the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, another humanitarian mission is being prepared to return Ukrainians home.

To remind, in October the Ukrainian with 4 children was evacuated home from the Syrian camp. In June, a Ukrainian woman with seven children was returned from camps in Syria.
