The ministry of health expects the arrival of the first 117 thousand dozes of Pfizer’s vaccine against coronavirus on Friday, April 16. Minister of health Maksym Stepanov told this on April 15, “Interfax-Ukraine” informs.

“COVAX has already confirmed that 117 thousand doses are about to arrive tomorrow. We have prepared all the corresponding documents on the airport’s slot which is going to accept the aircraft. They have postponed the arrival so many times that I keep my fingers crossed”, – the minister noted.

Earlier, head sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko explained that the delivery of the American vaccine was hampered due to bureaucratic procedures between Pfizer and COVAX. Ukraine plans to inoculate the population with four vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinovac Biotech, and Novavax.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine has signed an agreement with the US Pfizer corporation on the supply of 10 million dozes of coronavirus vaccine.
